Work Comp Fraud: Hell hath no fury…

March 8, 2016

Water Tanks

A day laborer reported back and neck injuries after falling 10 feet off a water tank, landing on his back. Sometime later, the claimant’s ex-girlfriend called his then-employer, wanting to testify that he had not been injured and his claim was fraudulent. The ex-girlfriend also said that he was currently working and did not appear to be in any pain.

ISI immediately obtained her statement, check stubs and details as to where he was working. Using her statement we were able to obtain his current employment records. The case was denied; ISI assisted in avoiding past and current TTD (temporary total disability), extensive medical care and high permanent disability. Estimated savings: $79,250.
